Summer's here and it's too hot to stay inside. Have a pool party for your grown up friends. Get 3 or 4 kiddie pools (that can hold at least 2 people). Break out the slip and slide and turn on the sprinkler . There are lots of water toys out there these days to make your own backyard water park. Hand out the water guns and have your guests bring their favorite floatie or pool toy.
Hit the party store for fun decorations and partyware. Keep the food simple so your guests can mix and mingle. You might be splashing around all night.
Drive in movies are sadly gone by the way side but you can still have movie night under the stars. Hang a white sheet in your back yard and use a projection DVD player. Arrange pairs of chairs with a small table in front of each. Then give your friends different colored tickets. The "passengers" must find their matching ticket before getting into the cars.
You can't forget the drive in food so be sure to have lots of popcorn, hot dogs, burgers, or pizza to make the evening under the stars memorable.
